Cookies Policy

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and enable essential functionality. Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies), while others remain on your device for a set period (persistent cookies).

Cosmic Array itself sets no cookies. Instead, it saves a few items in your browser's local storage. Privacy law treats local storage the same way as cookies, so this policy covers both, and "cookies" below includes them.

In accordance with the German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we obtain your consent before placing any non-essential cookies or local storage items on your device.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies sparingly and responsibly. We do not use third-party advertising cookies that track you across the web.

3. Cookie Categories

Essential Cookies

These are strictly necessary for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled.

4. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

Via Our Cookie Banner

When you first visit Cosmic Array, a cookie consent banner will appear. You can choose to:

  • Accept All: Enable both essential and analytics storage
  • Essential Only: Allow only what the site needs to function
  • Manage Preferences: Customize which categories of cookies you allow

You can change your preferences at any time by clicking "Manage Cookies" in the footer of any page.

Via Browser Settings

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies and site data are stored
  • Delete cookies and site data for one site or all sites
  • Block cookies and site data from specific or all sites
  • Set preferences for first-party vs. third-party cookies

Please note that blocking or clearing site data removes your access key from this browser. Unlocking a tier and restoring access with a key both need local storage.

5. Third-Party Cookies

We use Cloudflare for content delivery, DDoS protection, and bot management. Cloudflare may place an essential cookie (cf_clearance) to verify trusted traffic. For details, see Cloudflare's Cookie Policy.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
