What it means
Libra is an air sign and a cardinal sign: it thinks things through and likes to start conversations, partnerships and shared projects. Its symbol is the scales, which stand for weighing both sides before deciding. Venus, its ruler, gives Libra a feel for beauty, manners and connection. The Codex calls the Libra Sun the harmonizer, whose purpose is to create balance and beauty. It tends to shine when collaborating, mediating conflict and spending time in places and with people it finds lovely. It often cares how a room looks and how a conversation feels, and it will work hard to keep both pleasant. Fairness matters to it as much as peace.
Strengths
Diplomacy, fairness, charm, good taste, and the ability to see an argument from more than one side.
Challenges
Indecision, people-pleasing, avoiding conflict until it grows, and losing track of what it wants for itself.
Dates
The Sun moves through Libra from about September 23 to October 22. The exact dates shift by a day or so from year to year, so if you were born near either edge, your birth time and place decide which sign your Sun is in. A free blueprint calculates it exactly.
How Cosmic Array reads it
Your Sun is one part of the chart, not the whole of it. The Moon and Rising sign change the picture: a Libra Sun with a Capricorn Moon may be gracious and easygoing in company but quietly firm about rules, plans and commitments. Cosmic Array also reads your Sun against your numerology and Human Design, and where they pull in different directions, the blueprint names that tension instead of picking one side.
