What it means
In Human Design, the Reflector is the Mirror. With zero defined centers, a Reflector is described as a lunar being, more tuned to the Moon's monthly movement than to any fixed inner motor. Reflectors are highly sensitive to their environment and are often said to reflect the health of the community around them. When a group is doing well, a Reflector tends to feel it. When something is off, they may notice first.
Strategy, signature and not-self theme
The strategy is to wait a lunar cycle, about 28 days, before making big decisions. Over that month the Moon passes through the whole wheel of the chart, so a Reflector gets to sample the question from many angles and talk it through with people they trust. Small daily choices do not need the full wait. The signature is surprise, a sense of delight at what life brings. The not-self theme is disappointment, which often shows up after rushing or staying somewhere that does not suit them.
Strengths
Wisdom, objectivity, fair assessment of people and groups, and a rare ability to sense how a community is really doing.
Challenges
Being pushed to decide fast. Taking on other people's moods as their own. Feeling unsure who they are when their surroundings keep changing.
